SHORT TERM LEASE – TERMS & CONDITIONS
SECURE PAYMENT POLICY:


When booking via our website, card details are transmitted through a secure server using Stripe payment gateway. Card data is not hosted by The South Coast Sandcastles after processing. Stripe processes online credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet. All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the Stripe gateway are secured payments.

CANCELLATION/ REFUND POLICY:
 
The fee is based on the reservation amount and when the reservation is cancelled:

  • If the reservation is cancelled 1 week or less before check-in, or after check-in, the fee is 100% of the reservation amount for the nights not stayed

  • If the reservation is cancelled anytime between 30 days and 1 week before check-in, the fee is 50% of the reservation amount

  • If the reservation is cancelled more than 30 days before check-in, the fee is 10% of the reservation amount apart from public holidays and NSW school holidays where there is a 25% charge

Christmas and January bookings require full payment by November 1st


PAYMENT TERMS:

We collect 50% of the total amount of booking 30 days out and the additional 50% owing at 14 days out.  

OCCUPANCY RULES & INFORMATION
THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ALL OCCUPANTS AT THE PROPERTY

NOISE & NUISANCE:
No person at the premises will partake in conduct that can be deemed a nuisance to adjoining or neighbouring occupiers.
Excess noise is not permitted after 10:00pm and before 8:00am under any circumstance. Any disturbance to neighbours including, but not limited to, excessive noise is totally prohibited and may result in the immediate termination of tenancy.
Noise or unacceptable behaviour to neighbours will not be tolerated at any time. Noise means any sound that can be heard from neighbouring properties that disturbs their peace and quiet.


CLEANING:
It is the responsibility of the guests to leave the property in a clean and satisfactory state. If the cleaner arrives at the property and finds extra duties to be performed (in addition to the hygienic clean) they will perform the duties and notify us with a claim amount to be charged to guests. Please do not move furniture and/or items around the cabin. Cleaners will charge extra to put return items to original positions. 

BBQ:
The properties have a gas BBQ supplied at the premises. If the gas bottle runs out please take to any petrol station or Huskisson caravan park to have refilled. Please present receipt to us for for your reimbursement to be organised. IF YOU USE THE BBQ- YOU MUST CLEAN IT AFTER USE Failure to clean will incur a $60 cleaning fee.
The 2 back cabins have fire pits. Guests are expected to bring their own wood. A grill can be found in laundry which should be cleaned after use and placed back in the laundry. 


FIRES:
Strictly no outside fires unless the fire is in a designated fire-pit.
No fires during fire bans.

Please note fires are not permitted on high-risk fire danger days and bans. Automatic cancellation of your booking with no refund will occur if a fire is lit outside of the designated areas or if not approved by management.


GAS: 
Household Gas – If the gas for cooking/hot water runs out, please switch over bottles and notify us asap. 

AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING:
We request you consider the environment and never leave the airconditioning or heating on while not in cabins. 

RUBBISH:
Please put your rubbish in the bins behind the cabin. We will put them out on the street every Thursday for pickup. 

SECURITY:
It is the guest's responsibility to secure the property at all times. Upon departing please lock all windows & doors and ensure all appliances & lights are turned off including air conditioner. Any missing items from cabins will be charged to the guest. 

POSSESSIONS:
Any personal items or possessions that are left on the Premises are not the responsibility of the Host. The Host shall make every reasonable effort to return the item to the Guest. If claims are not made within the State’s required time period or two (2) weeks, whichever is shorter, the Host shall be able to dispose of such items.

USAGE & NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS:
The property shall be occupied for residential purposes only and will not be used for a venue for any social function, including but not limited to weddings, parties, receptions, stag &/or hens’ nights, schoolies gatherings etc. Failure to adhere to this term will result in immediate eviction from the property. The total number of occupants at the property must not exceed the total allowable for the property at any time.

The South Coast Sandcastles has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON PARTIES. No outside visitors are allowed unless approved by The Sandcastles. Any guests found with unapproved visitors and/or to be having parties will receive an automatic cancellation of their booking with no refund. The South Coast Sandcastles reserves the right to immediately request all occupants of the property up to, and including, the guest who has registered for the property to vacate the premises immediately.
Furniture and furnishings are not to be re-arranged and must be in their original position on departure.If you are renting multiple cabins - movement of furniture and utensils within units and also between additional spaces is strictly prohibited. All items or furniture (indoor or outdoor) are exclusive to that particular accommodation and must not be moved between the spaces. In the case of multiple bookings across our accommodation, movement of any items belonging to that unit (ie. furniture, plates, cups, cushions, linen, utensils etc.) will incur additional inventory checks and housekeeping fees up to $500. 
If you have a large booking where extra items are required (and a function is approved in writing by management) We can supply you with contact information for a third party contractor to hire for these additional services.. Any damages/excess cleaning caused by movement of items or furniture will be at guests cost.



DAMAGES
All damages, breakages or losses to the accommodation, furniture and furnishings, are to be reported to the grounds manager immediately. Should the guest discover a breakage or fault please advise us, otherwise we will consider this to be a responsibility of the current guest and you will be charged accordingly. Damages may include, but are not limited to, linen and towel replacements, carpet stains, use of candles leaving behind wax on furnishings, dirty walls, excessive cleaning, rubbish removal, and physical damage(s) to the property and/or its contents. The South Coast Sandcastles reserves the right to
proceed with any charges in addition to the accommodation cost on the presented credit card supplied at the time of booking.

As a guest at our cabin, you are responsible for any damages, theft, or violations of the terms of our agreement during your stay. We expect you to treat the property with care and respect, ensuring that all rules are followed. Any costs incurred from damages, theft  or breaches of the agreement above will be charged to you.

PETS:

Pets are only allowed on the Property with prior approval, and a non-refundable payment of $50/pet/reservation. We want The Sandcastles to be super inclusive and an easy holiday where pets and their owners can relax like everyone else.
 
Guests are fully responsible for the animal, picking up after pet pet droppings and disposing of them properly. Guests are responsible for any damage to property the pets may cause (including digging up of gardens) and must ensure there is no discomfort caused to other guests staying on site. 
 
We have a few simple rules to ensure we can keep the policies as open as we have them.

 

  1. Please ensure that you and your pet treat the place the same as if you were staying at a friends. Let us know if something gets damaged or dug up so we can fix it. 

  2. Please clean up after your pet - no landmines left for others to find in the garden.

  3. Please make sure that other guests' privacy is respected. 

  4. You have lots of shared space and no place to lock up your animal while you are away. If your dog suffers anxiety and may bark, or risk damaging our furniture, you cannot leave the dogs inside all day while you go out so consider bringing a lead to use on your grass area. 

  5. We are going to leave a dog bed out for you. If used, we request that you vacuum and follow with a delicate wash in the washing machine and hang out to dry prior to departing. By doing this we do not have to charge extra to clean it. Similarly, should there be any damages or additional cleaning required we will charge an additional  fee, note this is not a set fee and will be dependent on our cleaners time. 
     

If the Guest is found to have pets on the Premises that were not disclosed, this Agreement may be subject to termination by The Sandcastles.

CAMPING/SLEEP-OUT RESTRICTIONS
Strictly no camping in tents or sleeping-out in vehicles, campervans, motorhomes, buses, etc. Any party found will be asked to leave the property immediately and will not be accepted back onto the property.
 
LOCATION HIRE
Location hire for photoshoots and video shoots must be pre approved in writing by management. No images including the property are to be used for marketing purposes unless pre-approved in writing by our marketing team.
WILDLIFE PRESENT
Due to our rural location there can be spiders, ants, flies, insects and other small wildlife present around the accommodation.

INDEMNITY
Guests and their visitors actions, conduct and safety are the responsibility of the Guests. We do not condone: unsafe, irresponsible or illegal actions/behaviour etc. on or off the premises, during a stay or at any other time. A condition of entering and/or staying at this property means that all Guests understand and agree to indemnify the agent and owners against any responsibility or action(s) (legal or other), due to any action(s), incident(s), loss or injury(s) while within or outside of the premises (including, but not limited to, the grounds, facilities, structures, etc.) during a stay or at any other time. Your booking request will be confirmed once your payment has been receipted and a receipt emailed to you following your booking confirmation.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY
We do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events that are out of or beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to bushfires, pandemics, air conditions and extreme weather events. No refunds for cancellations due to bushfires, pandemics
, air conditions and extreme weather events. All guests are advised to have travel insurance for their stay. All bookings are non-refundable therefore any interruption to your trip should be claimed via the travel insurance provider or credit card provider. When a guest needs to cancel their booking due to a bushfire or extreme weather event that prevents all direct access to the property, a credit for the same number of nights
